Checking out K-ON!
To be honest, I’ve been trying to avoid this show because of all the hype it had been receiving before the show started airing. I decided to give in and check it out after seeing all those K-ON! images floating around danbooru.
OP & ED: The OP was ok, no plans on putting it into my ipod but the ED on the other hand really got my attention. Maybe it’s the combination of the song and the visuals they did.
Verdict: After watching the first 3 episodes, I think it’s decent enough that I’ll watch it to the end. I don’t expect anything mind boggling, epic plot twists, or even major drama.
Yui {va: Aki Toyosaki}
Yui reminds me a lot of Ushio from Clannad especially her facial expressions. And given the fact that the studio animating this show and the one that did Clannad are the same… well, I’m sure you understand where I’m getting at. She is such an airhead that I suspect she has ADHD but I guess that’s supposed to add to her moe charm.
Mio {va: Yoko Hisaka}
I don’t have much to say about her. Out of the four girls, I like her personality the best. As for her looks… it passes, just does not appeal to me all that much.
Tsumugi {va: Minako Kotobuki}
I like a lot her but my biggest problem with her is her eyebrows but other than that, she’s ok. Whenever she’s in a scene, the first thing I see are her eyebrows. It’s like they’re taunting me. “YO! I am Tsumugi’s eyebrows. I am huge and demand your attention.” I’m sure I’ll get used to it to the point that I don’t notice them anymore but for now…. 😐
Ritsu {va: Satomi Satou}
She’s currently my least favorite character but that does not mean I completely dislike her. It must be the headband since it reminds me so much of Haruhi or maybe her personality just doesn’t grab my attention enough.

Despite Yui’s ADHD and Tsumugi’s eyebrows, they are currently my favorite characters in the show. In fact, Tsumugi’s eyebrows are the only things that’s stopping me from saying she’s my all time favorite.
