Injury in the line of duty
Sometimes I forget how fragile things can be. This week just seems to be a bad week for me. First I broke my Fate figma a few minutes after opening the box then today this happened…
While taking pics of my kill count at work (RPG asked me to take pics of any wasps/bees that I kill) my poor Panasonic FS25 slipped from my hands and landed on its telescopic lens. At first I thought it was all right because I was still getting images on the LCD screen but when I tried to zoom in and out, it would not budge and eventually gave me a system error message.
As you can see from the pics above, the lens is bent out of place and there’s not much I can do about it as trying to push or pull the lens doesn’t work. I am not going to give up it as I’ve only owned this camera for about 8-9 months. I love this camera (as well as my other gadgets) and it would be a waste for me to abandon it after such a short time. My only option is to send it to a Panasonic authorized repair facility. I hope it doesn’t cost me more to have it fixed than the price I purchased it.
Unfortunately this is going to be a set back on my funds and I will have to push back any plans to build my own gaming rig and a PS3 is definitely not gonna happen this year.
Here are some of the pics I managed to take before my camera went down (the rest were too blurry to be worth uploading).
That’s one active hive (not shown) and 4 confirmed individual kills by the way.

I love the pictures, but feel kind of responsible since I requested them in the first place…
