Game On
My brother-in-law’s volleyball team was short on players yesterday so I got invited to play with them. Considering the fact that I haven’t done any strenuous activity since leaving my job in April and that I haven’t played volleyball since ’07, I think I did alright.
We didn’t win any of our 3 matches but I think we held out as best as we could for a pick-up group. Once we figured out each others strengths and weaknesses we put up a good fight and gave the other team a run for their money (if only for a short while).
I had fun but my muscles are making me pay for not even stretching or warming up before jumping into the game. I hope to get invited again even if it’s just to be a backup player.
Ugh… my aching muscles.
