Bandwidth Usage Experiment

Two weeks ago, I got curious about how much bandwidth I use up in a week and how it would hold up against the 250GB bandwidth caps that some companies started implementing. I had intended this project to start on Sunday the 24th but due to the fact that the first program was not logging all of my downloads, I decided to switch to a new program the next day.

It seems I didn’t use up as much bandwidth as I thought I would.

As expected, Thursday used the most since that’s the day when most of the shows I watch come out. 14 GB is not bad at all and if we assume that I use roughly that much every week, I would end up using close to 56 GB in a month.

Of course, I should point out that we’re in the summer anime season which means not as many shows to follow. I know I have at least 6 shows that I intend to follow and will probably add more.

For now, I’ll keep watching how much I’m using as I plan to put out another post on the first of September to see how I did for the month of August.
