[W] Summer 2011: Week 5
This week’s post is earlier (relatively) than last so that I can shuffle around my viewing schedule to work better with my IRL schedule.
The iDOLM@STER
Beach episodes means fanservice for everybody! Not a whole lot going on this episode other than the busted office A/C being used as a good excuse to go to the beach. Iori sure loves scaring the hell out of Yukiho and Makoto through ghost stories. I had a feeling one of them would backfire on her at the beach. The formation of a new unit came as a surprise to the girls and it will be explained in the next episode.
Mawaru Penguindrum
While I applaud the Princess of the Crystal for calling Ringo for what she is, I couldn’t help but think she too deserved it when Ringo throws the hat away. I have nothing against Himari, just wanted to see the Princess get knocked down a peg as well. And how the hell did Kanba survive being dragged on the road with his face kissing asphalt? He should have returned home with a lot less skin on his face. Now that Ringo knows about the hat and Shoma knows about the diary, would Ringo be more willing to cooperate with them?
Kamisama no Memochou
Narumi sure has it tough. He’s getting bossed around by Alice, Minli, and Yondaime. The first part of this case has Narumi traveling around promoting an indie rock band. It seems this group has had some trouble with the Yakuza in the past and the Yakuza are making things hard for them. To top it all off, Narumi decides to go and make friends with Renji. Does Narumi even bother with his studies?
Mayo Chiki
A new challenger has arrived and since this show is about a guy who is afraid to be touched by women, she turns out to be just as violent as the others. ::sigh:: At least we get to see her in a swimsuit. There’s not a whole lot of the other girls since the main focus on this episode is the new girl. It’s still too early for me to pass judgment on her.
Usagi Drop -This week’s featured banner-
I must be missing something because the wording makes it sound like Daikichi’s grandfather is not Rin’s father but everyone in this show are going about like it is concrete fact that he really is. Oh well… We get to meet Rin’s mother and I think Rin is much better off without her.
Ro Kyu Bu!
More training sessions! Is this show becoming Nanoha StrikeS? Anyway, Takenaka from the boys team joins them to train for an up coming tournament and he just can’t seem to get along with Maho. I think the old wive’s saying goes something like “if you love ’em, pick a fight with ’em.” Ok I’m BSing that one but you get the idea.
NO. 6
Looks like Shion was wrong about the wasps not being active and he was so intent on telling Nezumi that he discovers Nezumi’s job. The fact that both Nezumi and Safu collapse at the same time makes me wonder if there’s going to be a NTR end. Or maybe that’s just the influence of a NTR doujin I accidentally read last night.
Kamisama Dolls
Though the battle between Utao and her twin Kirio is one-sided with Kirio having the upperhand, Utao is able to turn the tables on Kirio but absorbing his attack and sending back at him. The result is both of their dolls getting damage and need to be repaired at their respective villages. It seem Kyohei and Utao were kept in the dark about Kirio. Hopefully we’ll find out more in the next episode. On a side note, both the opening and ending now show Kirio.
