[W] Winter 2012 Quick Peek
Yeah, I know I didn’t do one for Fall 2011 and that I’m not done working on that long overdue post but here’s what I’m watching for this season.
Zero no Tsukaima F
I am both happy and sad that Znt is back on the air. Happy because I love the characters of Znt but sad because this is the final season. I’m hoping this doesn’t become a wreck like the way seasons 2 and 3 handled.
Nisemonogatari
I’m happy to see all the characters I love from Bakemonogatari are in this and I’m quite interested to see what Karen and Tsukihi can add to the series.
Mouretsu Pirates
This show had an interesting premise so I decided to check it out. Since this will be a 2 cour show, they are taking the time to introduce key characters. Hana Kanazawa playing a Kuroneko like character? I’m in.
Rinne no Lagrange
I found my mecha show for the season! Production I.G. and Xebec are handling this show and it looks great. The opening is my favorite this season.
Another
For a good change of pace, Another happens to be a psychological thriller along the likes of Higurashi. So far only episode 1 is out and it gave me some good chills.
Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou
Daily lives of High School Boys… Ignoring the red flag title, this SquareEnix x Sunrise collaboration is quite hilarious. The best way I can describe this show would be “The male version of Azumanga Diaoh” or “Stupid guys doing stupid things (not all the time)”. Assuming this show stays as hilarious as it has been with the first episode, I’ll keep watching this.
Papa no Iu Koto wo Kikinasai!
As far as I know, this will be another heart warming show like Usagi Drop but with more fanservice. Rather than jumping right into the story, the show takes time to introduce the protagonist, his friends, and his sister’s family.
Inu x Boku SS
Verbally abusive girl moves into an exclusive mansion to be alone so that she can build up her people skills? Not a very bright idea. At least it seems the SS that was assigned to her can handle her abuse. Wait… where have I heard of characters like this before… *Scrolls up* Ah right. Don’t take that as a bad sign though as these characters and their interactions are quite different and as far as I know, there won’t be any harems to deal with.
Damnit Japan, I was hoping to keep my watch list down this season but then you throw all of these in my face. I should clear out Amagami first so that I can watch Amagami SS Plus. My backlog is never going to shrink at this rate.
