[W] Guild Wars 2 BWE 2
The second beta weekend event happened on the 8th of June but it’s only now that I’ve had time to work on this post. I’ve decided to mix in a few images that I managed to take during the short 4 hour stress test that happened last week.
I found a shield skin that I liked so I decided to test out transmutation stones. The process was very simple and now that I’ve done it, I don’t mind transmutation stones only being available in the gem store or as a mystic chest drop.
In the southwestern portion of Kessex Hills, RPG and I found a group of players to tag along with and kill the bandit boss. The Harathi Overlord took longer to kill because there were only a few players aside from us fighting it.

The Ascalonian settlement has changed quite a lot since GW1. Captain Graywind’s grave happens to be in the cemetery there.

RPG found a way to get to the top of Black Haven’s tower. We tried to get others to join us but no one really seemed interested.
Since RPG and I spent most of BWE2 in the Krytan explorable area, I decided to spend what little time I had during the stress test in the Shiverpeak Mountains.
The more I play it, the more I enjoy the Elementalist profession. I considered making my main character as an ele but in the end I settled on making my sylvari take it.
With my engineer, I explored Black Citadel and found Stormcaller.
Saw this while I was managing inventory.
The final event was delayed and once it started, people were in a mad rush to get to it.
The branded charr was easy enough to take down but the devourer’s hp didn’t drop at all. It may or may not have been bugged but I didn’t bother to stick around.
When I got back to where the branded charr had fallen, I noticed that other players were getting turned.
I didn’t last very long against them and ended up getting turned.
Here’s a quick look at the alt characters I made. Looking at them now, I wish I took the first 3 during the day cycle.
I had fun with BWE2 and I’m getting a better idea of what classes I want to play. I’m looking forward to playing in BWE3 later this month as well as the official release in August.
