Trading figures part 2
Whoa… has it really been over a year since I did part 1? I noticed that there were several images that are focused on the background and not on the subject, I blame the auto focus function and me not bothering to check until the results until today (btw, these images were taken a year ago). Since these figures are pretty much in permanent storage, I don’t have any plans to do a retake.
On with the post before I get carried away with other stuff.
If you didn’t notice in the first image, Fai’s staff broke while I was shooting. At that time, I didn’t have any super glue near by so I decided to just continue.
First up is Chii and boy does she have one heck of a mean lean. Unfortunately, she came to me this way and it kept getting worse as time progressed.
Sakura has a slight lean on her but no where near as bad as Chii’s. The elements seem to have gone easy on her.
Primera also has a lean on her and the paint on her hair is starting to degrade. It’s mainly noticeable on the dark paint used as shading on her hair.
Syaoran seems to holding up fine. My only complaint about him is his pose. What exactly is the message that he’s trying to convey?
Fai seems to have it rough out of the 5. Not only is the staff broken, it seems to have a lean of it’s own. The paint on his hair was starting to rub off and smudge.
At the time that I bought these I was satisfied with the quality but now that I’m older and have far better figures, I can’t help but ask myself “what was I thinking?”
Sadly this post is the last post that will have images taken with my FS25 but on the brighter side of things, figure posts after this will have images taken with my D5000. I do have a part 3 but that will have to wait until I clear out my backlog.
I am going to try my hardest to get back into the swing of posting more figure posts. I’ve only had a couple of figure arrive since Mio but I have a large backlog of pictures I need to process thanks to my visits to RPG. Most of those images will be posted on our combined blog, though I think the NSFW figure posts will be hosted here.
