[W] Summer 2011: Week 4

Due to delays, I think I’ll have to start putting up my posts during the weekend. Anyway, on with the post!

The iDOLM@STER

It’s Chihaya’s turn to shine but the show she, Haruka, Hibiki, and Takane landed on does not have the singing portion that Chihaya wanted. Though she’s not to happy with this gig, a few words of encouragement was all she needed to turn around put her all into it. Yay producer!

Mawaru Penguindrum

It’s Penguindrum the musical! Ringo’s delusions seem to spill out into reality quite often. The birdwatching double date is not going as well as Ringo hoped and it seems Tabuki’s girlfriend is aware of what Ringo is trying to do. The diary has everything planned but just not the way Ringo is interpreting it. By the end of it all Shome ends up taking Ringo’s first kiss, not that she’s aware of it because she thinks Tabuki is the one that saved her. It seems there maybe another diary out in the wild that works just like the one that Ringo has or maybe Ringo is crazy enough to push people down long escalators just because the diary said so. Death note anyone?

Kamisama no Memochou

The thief and the man in the sunglasses is this week’s case and the focus is on Minli. It seems some guy keeps showing up at the ramen shop, orders a dish, but only samples the broth and leaves. The pisses Minli off but then someone manages to break into her apartment and steal her sarashi. after some convincing from Narumi, Minli caves in and ask’s the Alice to investigate. Wonder Neet powers activ- er… I mean investigate! Turns out the thief was just some lingerie salesman who wanted Minli to wear a bra rather than a sarashi while the mysterious customer has some ties with her father and She receives a box of ingredients and instructions that make the soup stock taste the same way her father used to make it.

It’s Golden Week but Jirou can’t get a chance to enjoy his sweet, sweet cup ramen cause Konoe shows up at his house to stay the week after she and her father were kicked out from squabbling too much. Of course, you can’t have one with out the other so Suzutsuki shows up dressed in a maid outfit. One thing leads to another and it becomes a maid vs butler competition with Jirou ending up sick. Sucks to be him.

I thought I heard a familiar voice so looked up the cast and saw this:

My reaction:

She was using a far different voice and I wouldn’t have known it was her until Konoe’s flustered voice started sounding like Index.

Usagi Drop

Cuteness continues as Rin is finally getting ready to enter elementary school. It seems Daikichi has a potential love interest and I would support that relationship. We get to learn a little bit more about Rin’s mother after Daikichi discover’s his grandfather’s will. I’m still not 100% convinced that Rin is his daughter.

Ro Kyu Bu!

The girls manage to win their match and it’s time to party at Subaru’s house. If his mother didn’t suspect him of slowly falling down into the lolicon path, maybe the fact that Tomoka keeps showing up just to get 50 “free throws” in a row so that he’ll come back to coach them would do it… or maybe not. Lucky bastard.

NO. 6

This episode just didn’t go well with me. It just felt dull and annoying. Not a whole lot of development other than Shion’s mother’s past and even then it wasn’t a whole lot. I hope episode 5 fixes this.

Kamisama Dolls

Picking up from last episode, we see the chain of events that lead to Aki running into Kuuga. She really needs to go see a doctor for that messed up head of hers. Also it’s about damn time Kyohei mans up and punches the hell out of Aki. We also find out that the new user from the previous episode is a clone/twin of Utao. Not sure if want…
