Project: Tokio
I’m currently working on this because I felt that chapter 5 needed it. So far it’s coming along nicely considering this will be my 3rd attempt at vector drawing and 1st attempt at making one out of scratch.
I need to redo his left hand like I redid his right. Obviously using Viral’s promotion pic was a bad template but it was the only one I had in my hard drive. I might use Rika’s or Cirno’s version they have a better defined right hand.
I started off by doing a very rough outline then coloring it in at first but then I realized that this was very inefficient and decided to do a proper outline. The pants and belt are more or less done aside from adding in some shading. Since Tokio wears a white shirt, I just need to work on the folds and make it look less awkward. I’m happy with the way the bag turned out. It’s much better than what I saw when I was placing in the vector points. I think my biggest challenge will be the hair. From the looks of it now, it doesn’t seem to look decent but I think that’s because I haven’t added in a couple of strands that appear in the middle as well as giving it color. A couple more things I’ll add after the hair would be his goggles and the moebius strip that goes on his neck.
Hopefully I’ll get this all done before RPG is done translating.
Edit 1: Here’s the outline. I’m not too happy with the way the goggles turned out and I’m not in the mood to fix it.
