[W] Just a few ways to die in Limbo
Let’s see how low can you go… wait, that’s not what this game is about?
I bought Limbo during the Steam Summer Sale and I do not regret it one bit.
Uncertain of his sister’s fate, a boy enters Limbo
Limbo is a black and white side-scrolling adventure game. The controls are quite simple, arrow keys to move around and jump and ctrl to interact with objects. The goal of the game is to reach his sister alive and in one piece.
For this post, I shall show you some of the ways you can die within the first 13 chapters out of 24. I’ll try to avoid spoilers / solutions but I promise nothing. Also, this post is image heavy.

I can’t turn around but I can go forward and jump. Sunlight is the only way I can turn around. I can slow myself down by trying to go backwards.

This is my favorite contraption of the game. Might be due to the fact that it doesn’t try to kill me.
Step 1: Get critter in to the wheel
Step 2: Push lever
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Profit!
As if drowning wasn’t enough of a problem…

Eventually I got past that area and made it to the next chapter.
I don’t plan on doing a part 2 any time soon because:
- It would give away a good number of solutions
- Some of the areas will require careful timing for screen shots
- I don’t have time to take said screen shots
I managed to beat Limbo in 2-3 days. It’s definitely worth checking out.
